Hi and welcome! I’m Lara!
A Cotswolds Wedding and Family Photographer living near the beautiful town of Burford.
I absolutely love living in The Cotswolds. It’s a place I feel privileged to call my home and I can’t wait to share it with you.
It took a long time for me to work out who I was and what I wanted which I think stems from moving around so much as a child. Born in Canada and raised in Scotland, I am happiest when near water – be it the Sea, a Lake or a River I just feel instantly calm. I find this ironic considering I have now settled in the Cotswolds – the most land-locked part of the UK and the furthest away from the sea I could be!
I am happiest when I’m outdoors and there is a lot of the outdoors to explore in the Cotswolds!
I absolutely love being a photographer. Being able to do a job I adore whilst making people happy is the best feeling in the world.
After the birth of my oldest son ten years ago my love of photography exploded. Looking back, I’ve long had a passion for photography, starting at age 15 when I spent a week doing work experience at a photography studio. This was at a time when we still used film. Digital hadn’t even been invented yet. Since then I was never seen without a camera in my hands. I was doing selfies with brick film cameras well before the iphones came in!
I am grateful to have a very understanding husband, two amazing boys and a crazy labrador. Summer holidays in our household don’t exist as this is my busiest season.
Having reaching a milestone birthday this year (eek) and completed my 8th year as a wedding photographer I can look back and say that I am so proud to be here today, doing what I love and having met such wonderful clients along the way.
No matter how many weddings, families or newborns I have photographed over the years, my passion and dedication to providing you with the most emotive and memorable images remains unchanged, and being trusted to capture amazing memories for you and your family is the reason I love being a professional photographer. It’s not easy in any way, shape or form but it is incredibly rewarding.
I hated my wedding photos and I never, ever want anyone to feel the way I did.
