I’m Lara, a Cotswolds Wedding and Family Photographer living near the beautiful town of Burford, Oxfordshire.
I understand just how important it is to feel you ‘gel’ with your photographer and one of the very first conversations I have with prospective couples and clients is to make sure you feel at ease with your photographer. This is an absolute non- negotiable. You may love the photographs you must, must feel comfortable at and ease. This cannot be underestimated.

My first ever work experience back in 1998 was at a photography studio. This was pre digital era so yes I am old. Looking back I wish I had pursued this from the get go as clearly being a photographer was what I was destined to be.
It took many years of different vocations before I followed my passion including over 10 years as a police officer, HR Management and many other questionable avenues before I took the leap. 11 years later and I haven’t looked back. Being a professional , full time photographer is a privilege but learning to run a business has its challenges!
Born in Canada, growing up in Scotland and now settled in the Cotswolds I have definitely grown to love the outdoors and this is where I am happiest. I love nature. I love bees. I love walking and ending up in a beautiful Cotswolds pub enjoying the views.
I’m left handed, highly sensitive and a lover of coffee, dogs and horses. I ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 2023 when I turned 4-0 and it was the best few days ever. (The running part not so much) I’m still deciding what my next challenge will be but running continues to be a passion and a good ‘reset’ for me….although I have to say I’m finding gardening to be just as enjoyable!
I am a terrible cook, I’m a shamefully fussy eater and don’t think this will change. It’s a nightmare for home life!
I absolutely LOVE making people smile, capturing raw emotion and providing memories that can be cherished for years and years to come. I never underestimate the commitment and trust that clients invest in me and I never, ever want to disappoint. This comes from someone who hated every single one of her wedding photos provided by our photographer and I never, ever want anyone to experience this…ever. This is why I work my absolute socks off for every single shoot and wedding…. without fail.
I approach wedding photography with patience and passion. I’m like a friend with a camera. This means everyone stays relaxed during the day and no-one feels like they are performing. Most importantly I tailor my coverage to suit you and your wedding with a personal and authentic approach.
