I specialise in natural, un-posed baby photography whether it is within my studio setup or in your home environment. The aim of my photo shoots are to capture your babies developing personality and newborn movements – be it a big yawn, stretch, smile or their tiny hands and toes.
Because I specialise in Natural Newborn Photography I don’t need baby to be asleep when I’m photographing. This results in a relaxed and willing baby and a far more relaxed mummy! It also means that there is no time limit for taking photographs of your newborn so there is NO time pressure.

As I’ve said, your baby can be awake or asleep. I believe some of the most beautiful photos are of baby wide awake and looking around. So long as your baby is calm, comfortable and relaxed then I am happy. I intentionally don’t offer fine art, ‘Anne Geddes’ style portraits as my personal view is it can be too distressing for babies to be repeatedly manipulated. Instead, I focus on capturing their tiny features, time with parents or siblings, or those precious moments when they are cosy and sleepy. These are the moments that mean so much and the moments you’ll want to remember.

I offer two different options – either photographing at my studio or I can travel to your home. With both options I would allow approximately 3 hours. I work with your baby – the priority is ensuring they are fed, comfortable and relaxed. This doesn’t always happen immediately hence the 3 hour slot.
Travelling to my studio between Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water, I offer a warm, calming room for you and your baby. You can sit and relax while watching your baby being photographed. There is studio lighting used but at a low output so as to ensure your baby is not startled.
I may use a range of throws and bean bags depending on your requirement but with the aim of keeping a natural environment.
If the thought of travelling to a studio fills you with dread, or you just feel more comfortable being within your home surroundings I also offer the opportunity to travel to you.
I will most likely require the use of a bedroom or similar and utilise the natural light to capture your images.
If your room can accommodate my props then I will bring these along too.
Should you have an older baby / toddler then I would recommend at home or outdoor sessions.
For all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you.
